Things you can do to help the Environment:
Saving on energy, saving on water, and supporting organic & sustainable farming is just a few ways people can help make a difference in preserving and protecting the condition and health of our planet. Buying locally grown food at farmers markets supports Organic farming and cuts down on transport of food across country. In order for us to maintain clean air, clean water, healthy food, and a flourishing eco system, we must address the way we act and contribute to the environment in a positive way. The household products we buy, the amount of driving we do, the type of car we drive, the items we recycle, what we buy for dinner, and what we use on our lawn and garden; all have a profound effect on our world. Making small changes in our everyday life can help our environment. Everyone doing a little will provide results we all can be proud of.
Recycle Program: Drop off locations below for Ink Cartridges and Cell Phones
Over 300 million ink jet cartridges and 30 million cell phones are discarded each year! Most of these items end up in landfills.
We as a nonprofit organizations are constantly trying to find ways to generate income. We’ve found a way to supplement our finances to get the revenue we need. APe Action is involved in a fund raising Recycling Program! This fund raiser is FREE and simple because there’s nothing to sell, no paperwork to fill out and no deadline. The program runs year-round, accumulating constant income for our efforts. But we won’t get very far without your support.
APe Action has made an effort to recycle cell phones and printer cartridges. However, we still have a problem. We do not have enough collection devices at local businesses, schools, and shopping centers. For people to recycle, it must be convenient. If collection devices in the area increase, we surely will have an increase in people recycling these goods.
How can you help?
-Don't throw away empty cartridges from your printer, fax machine and desktop copier.
-Bring them to one of our drop off locations.
If you are a business, here is how you can help:
You can sign up in the business support program to get prepaid shipping boxes sent to your location free of charge. Business supporters simply need to load the boxes and leave them for the next UPS pickup.
If you would like your business listed here as a drop off location, please contact us at info@apeaction.org. We’ll take it from there. That's all you have to do! We will recycle the cartridges and cell phones to earn cash to fund our current projects.
Last year alone, more than 300 million cartridges were thrown away, while 30,000,000 cell phones were tossed or replaced. We’re alleviating the volume of waste that goes into landfills, while collecting cash we need to keep our organization running smoothly. Your help is vital to our fund raising success.
Educating the children will help make changes that benefit our world.
