Meet APe Actions spokesperson, Alicia Yelverton:
When Alicia adopted her Chihuahua, Bruno, from APe Action last year she immediately got involved in the organization. A former dancer and educational specialist, promoting a healthy lifestyle and compassionate living has always been a top priority. Along with her deep passion for animals, APe action was a perfect fit. She believes educating the community on how to take small steps towards protecting the environment, is one of the most important tools in raising awareness that will ultimately lead to an active, and socially responsible community. Raising awareness for the need to adopt and not buy, spay and neuter, and helping with the fundraising for Sammy’s Place; APe Actions Senior Dog Sanctuary has been a fun add-on to her already full charity schedule.
In addition to APe Action, Alicia is also involved with AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA) and the Los Angeles Union Rescue Mission.
